CALABRIA. Tarentum. Circa 380-325 BC. Diobol (Silver, 12 mm, 1.27 g, 6 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet adorned with a hippocamp with curved wings on the bowl. Rev. Youthful Herakles kneeling right, holding club in his right hand and wrestling the Nemean Lion, which crouches left, clawing at his leg. HN Italy 911. Vlasto 1294. Struck from a somewhat worn obverse die and with minor marks, otherwise, nearly very fine.
